Dr Tacson Fernandez is a Consultant in Interventional Spinal Pain Management at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, London, UK. Dr Fernandez established the Neuromodulation centre at the RNOH which enables patients with Chronic neuropathic pain an opportunity to manage pain effectively using implanted devices such as Spinal Cord Stimulators. Dr Fernandez is also Honorary Senior Lecturer at UCL. His area of interest is Neuropathic pain management and Interventional spinal pain management.
Interventional Management of Neuropathic Pain
The talk would support an understanding of the mechanisms, pathophysiology and technologies available for management of Neuropathic pain, including spinal cord stimulators. The focus would be on technological advances that have enabled patients with chronic neuropathic pain to make their pain tolerable, making life liveable and thereby improving their quality of life.
